09 Creation of an Activity on Allocation Sheets
09 Creation of an Activity on Allocation Sheets
- Login to worksite and select the allocation sheets application in the center as in the screenshot above.
- The first thing presented in the approver view is a heading for ‘Activities’ on the left the day's date in the top center and a heading for ‘Operatives’ on the right.
- Focusing on the activities portion of the supervisor view has the options to add, show all, and search activities are available. The example screenshot above shows a day when no activities have been created. The blank space below the activities heading will fill with tiles containing the details of activities created for that day.
- Searching will narrow the pool of activities that show depending on the keyword entered.
- The ‘Show all’ button will change the view back to show the supervisor all activities for that day (the same as when landing on the page). Selecting again will change the view to ‘show mine’ showing only the logged-in supervisor's activities in the view.
- Select the ‘Add activity +’ button to begin the creation of a new activity.
- The first item to be entered for an activity is the description of the activity. This is presented as an open text box for the supervisor to enter an accurate description of a given activity.
- The dropdown options (Level 8 and 9) just below the activity description will allow the supervisor to specify the relevant cost code for the chosen activity. (Please note that the QS needs to be notified if the cost code required is not showing on the dropdown).
- Choose the supervisor for the activity (also presented as a list of applicable supervisors on a dropdown).
- Make the selection of the type of shift this is. For example, day or night shift.
- Choose the duration of the activity using the + and – buttons to shift the duration up and down.
- To assign operatives tap or click the operative's name from the right and they will appear under assigned operatives. In the example screenshot above Jake Smith has been selected and now appears under the operatives list.
- Similar to how the overall duration of the activity can be adjusted each individual’s duration can be customized as needed. For example, if Jake smith had only completed 4.5hrs on this activity the supervisor would select the number next to the operative’s name and use the - button until 4.5 shows then select ‘save’ to apply.
- It is important to note the question mark on the duration selection. If the operative has a duration of ‘?’ hours, it will not be possible to assign the operative to another activity until a set time can be applied to the operative.
- Finally, selecting save will add a single activity. Alternatively, the supervisor can choose to add this activity to a list. This option will compile a list like the above allowing multiple activities to be created and added to the list. Use the minus symbol to remove something from the list and ‘submit’ to add all listed activities at once.
